Hi everyone ..wow 2 posts in 1 day . sorry i forgot to add this in ....

My father in Law is 60 tomorrow so here is the card my hubby requested brief was "i dunno somthing with 60 on it " really helpful lol so i came up with this .....

Had great fun altering my chipboard 60 (it was a papermania set pink and flowers) so i painted it white and inked it blue using my stampin up inks (nearly navey) then i embossed it with holographic powder then UTEE and put a couple of silver stars first time i have tried that. layers are mirror card (pm) nearly navey (SU) white card , ribbon is anitas , star from stash ,sentiment is a rub on from stash.

hope he likes it ...they are in france for his birthday so wont see him till saturday

Poppy cards and potty training

Hi everyone well the poppy cards took me a lot longer than expected .... i made loads lol . so here are the ones that made the final cut (i just put the singles up as the rest are bagged to go).

I would like to thank Kate as with out her generosity this would not have been possible .... i am sorry the stamps are a little late back but i was so worried about the postal strikes i waited till they were over to send.

I used some of the designs by kate and Amie over at passion for papertrey blog as they were so brilliant you can also see some on - www.inlovewithstamping.com. anyway i hope they raise some money for the cause x

This week i have also started the dreaded potty training and its been a challenge my little boy will be 3 on saturday ....halloween !! so i thought it would be nice to have him dry for his birthday or at least his first day at pre school lol .... well i think i have spent most of my time mopping and asking 'do you need a wee ' i feel like a parott we have had the odd success ...so fingers crossed.

got slight cabin fever as not been out since sunday so all being well may venture out tomorrow .....dum dum dummmmmm lol

Hi y'all, well got my poppy set (PTI remember) care of the wonderful Kate from a passion for papertrey blog - http://apassionforpapertrey.blogspot.com/ so I can set about creating my poppy cards tonight, just wanted to say how lovely kate is I have never met her and i posted a message on in love with stamping asking if anyone had the remeber set (i could buy) and kate contacted me and said i could borrow hers and here it is .....how kind is that!! a complete stranger lending me their only set I was really taken a back bless her.

Also had a bit of a naff day took my little one to the local soft play area and while i was there all the mums and their children from his playgroup showed up (together) I think it must have been a play date or party .... I just felt so lonely I was the only mum there on my own with thier child , they didn't even say hello ...think they were a little embarrased . everyone else was in twos or with a baby group, I wish i had been well enough when oliver was little to forge these friendships but unfortunatly i wasn't and i missed out now i'm like a oneman (or woman) band surviving alone lol just me and my boy bless him....

I'm just so excited today, lovely steph (i think of her like the fairy godmother of crafting lol) has had a genius idea to arrange a Christmas make and take day .....using ..wait for it .....paper trey ink ....whoopee!!!! and i have manged to book myself a place so I'm going on a mini craft adventure up to Essex to meet everyone and i just can't wait. to just show how much of a fairy godmother Steph is , she is supplying everything bless her.



Also i have decided to try a little fund raising a dear friend of mine was killed in Afghanistan in 2008 and in his letter to his parents he requested they set up a charity to help young people achieve their dreams, he was an amazing young man at 22 (just) he was an officer in the marines but had achieved so much for his young age take a look here to read about his amazing life -http://www.jtyaf.org/biography.html I really recommend taking a look this he was no average 22 yr old lol.

Anyway I am planning to make a whole load of poppy themed cards and sell them to raise funds for both poppy appeal and JTYAF , all of our family have managed sky dives ...runs ... climbs etc but that's just not me so i thought this would be best I know JT would be proud x I only wish he could be here to see all the people that have given so much he would be truly stunned and honored.

Anyway i have a busy time ahead poppy cards, Christmas too and my make and take day ....pictures to follow x

What a weekend !

Hello bloggers, well what a weekend i have had !! glorious sunshine amazing airshow and a bargin sewing machine.

If you didn't know it was the Bournemouth Air Festival at the weekend and my god it was amazing, it started on the thursday and ran till sunday, not being into planes and stuff i thought i would go along and just be bored but i have to say it was so good i was whooping an cheering on the beach lol on the saturday it was reported 350,000 people where there. the red arrows topped it all off and the stunning giant the vulcan ! here are a couple of pics -

If anyone has ever heard the roar of the vulcans engines you will now it rattles your windows and you can feel it in your chest it's so loud .......however oliver managed to sleep thought its flight lol bless him...... however when the euro fighter did it's bit he soon woke bless him what a shock for him ! think its the loudest plane i have ever heard almost needed eardefenders .

I also got a bargin from our local bootsale on sunday a toyota sewing machine 2640 for £5 with needles etc I'm so excited as i'm dying to make some curtains etc and a quilt.

Wall Stickers

Hello everyone, while on my hols in france back in May I discoverd these amazing stickers for walls they come in all sorts of patterns and colours.... needless to say I had to have them lol and this is what I made with them .....

Hello all! gosh i have been a lazy blogger recently ... i just keep forgetting to photograph my cards before i give them away Doh!!! anyway here's one to view -

1- This is my first christmas card i cased it from the front cover of creativity mag (do crafts) made a few changes .... think I went a little OTT with the distressing lol, the first time i have used it really def less is more ... lesson learnt . Also found that the papermania clear stamps i used would only give a nice clear impression when i used versa fine ink ... i only own black ! they beaded up all the other inks i tried.

Rush of Men

Afternoon all , well it seems that all the men in my life are either having a birthday buy a house or getting engaged lol i have had a mad rush on cards !

first my bro moved in to his new place , then he got engaged to the lovely Sarah, i am so cross at myself coz i made a gorgeous card but gave it to them with out photographing it first arghhh! it was made from clear acetate and i used the luvvie Leanne Ellis stamp.

then it was my brother in laws birthday and my mother in law asked me to make his card for them and of course i had to make my own phew ..... here are the results-

I used good old basic grey papers on both the star card is 'offbeat' and the tile card is 'granola' the star stamp was a freebie with Craft Stamper mag a few weeks ago i love it thinking of getting a similar tattoo with my sons name through it ..very American basket ball logo lol.

so after all that i have my brothers birthday and my dads birthday a week apart then my 3 fathers day cards (i am luck and have 3 dads now lol ..long story)

so a general Man rush .

just ordered the new miss Anya stamps and a few of the new Leanne Ellis from Sugar Nellie can't wait to get them they are lush!! hope they arrive before i go to France.

My sis is 18 ARGGHHHH

Well Hi to everyone sorry i havent posted for a while but life happens and i get all way laid lol Anyways ... My little sis is 18 tomorrow i can't quite believe it she was only little a few weeks ago I swear lol where dose the time go hey? well shes off out on sat her first night out on the town with her friends. Mum and I are taking her to London tomorrow for the day we will be seeing dirty dancing the stage show i can't wait!

I found this cool little easle in the Range (bournemouth) for £1 perfect size to display cards. There was also all the new docraft craft essentials in stock and the mag so i had a mini buy some really pretty papers called blueberry hill , I didn't think anything would be available till may but there it all was brill!!!!

Hi Everyone - challenges

Hi to all that are passing by , well i managed 1 challenge card its on the blog too lol .. I am improving heehee.

The day just ran away with me yesterday Oliver (my little one see pic above) was being a little monkey so no chance of crafting until Ben got home then i had to do tea etc etc, by the time i sat down it was 9pm so a manic craft session began lol. It took me over an hour to colour my Tilda , it's my first Tilda and my first copic colouring so hopefully i will speed up then i had to put it all together but it was finished at 11.50, so late night for me. For some reason i thought the deadline was 12pm Wednesday but it wasn't it was today lol it was the sugar bowl challenge that finished at 12 so i was gutted i missed it anyways a nice card over all fingers crossed for it x.

hoping the little monster will take a nap today and i can get some more crafting done, the results will be up soon.

Challenges

Well I'm about to take a dive in to the world of challenge card making , I have never tried this before as all the cards look so great I'm not sure mine would stand up to the rest lol. I have decided to make for the 'just magnolia' challenge as its new and i love Tilda lol and also the sugar bowl challenge as sugar Nellie have all my fav stamps, both have 2 amazing sketches so they are very inspiring .

went to Ally pally at the weekend and it was sooo busy (i went Saturday) I had to drag myself away after 3 hours as i think i would have maxed out my card lol I did discover something really cool though ... Friendly plastic !! i watched a demo with it and bought a few strips i am going to make some jewelry with it and some card charms.

I also grew my copic collection lol Got quite a nice selection now I will post a pic of my colour cart it far from complete but may give you some ideas of colours its amazing how the printed colour chart from copic varies in colour compared to the real thing .

I have also just ordered my first Tilda Set ( summer) I am so excited i only have 3 Tilda's at the mo an a tree stump ! I have to wait for ages though till i get them .....I'm soooo rubbish at being made to wait hee hee oh well at least my gorjuss girls will be arriving home soon set 2 is stunning I missed the first set so there was no way i was missing out again !

so all in all I'm going to be a busy bee, I also have 2 commission cards to make plus i need to tidy my craft room wow x

Morning

Happy wednesday to everyone , its sunny here at the mo if not a little chilly.

I have finally started to collect some copic ciao pens to colour my beautiful new gorjuss girl and leanne ellis stamps (i'm soooo in love with then right now) I have been using some water colour pencils but i'm not happy with them i did also try whispers but the pens pilled up the card stock and not so hot to blend with smoothly.

I'm going to upload a few cards today I'm still just starting out so mistakes are happening it takes me an age to make one card too lol but i love it and thats to point, hey .

I'm still not sure what the best card stock to use with my copics is. so if anyone can recomend please let me know look forward to posting more of my creations soon .

also hope to make this blog look a bit better I see so many lovely looking blogs and have no idea how they do it lol .... more investigating needed.
